THE embattled Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ebonyi State, Chief Onyekachi Nwebonyi weekend counseled political office holders to use their appointment/offices to touch the lives their people positively.
Nwebonyi stated this while receiving a Chieftaincy title at Community Secondary School, Isophumini in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state.
He charged stakeholders of Izzi clan to always give assistance to the indigents in their communities, so that the beneficiaries will be proud of them before and after they exit power.
The PDP stalwart, who said he has constructed culverts, built over forty (40) houses for the indigent people/ widows among other projects for various communities of izzi clan commended the organizers of the event for making it a huge success.
He stressed that it was time for all izzi stakeholders camr together and develop the clan.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Izzi traditional Rulers’ Council, HRH Sunday Oketa, stated that Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi has performed creditably well and would do more if elevated to a higher office.
“You have done well for Izzi People and we have seen all your contributions. You have made us proud and we will always support you in any of your future endeavors.”
Nwebonyi was conferred with the title of “Omeogo 1 of Isophumini community”, which means the highest cheerful giver from the community.
Also, the former Minister of State for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogboga was also conferred a chieftaincy tittle of ‘Enyiwa Uzo1’ of Isophumini community, Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.
Ogbaga was however, applauded for his numerous contributions towards the development of Izzi clan.
