The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, weekend called on Ebonyi communities across the length and breadth of the State to emulate the peaceful disposition of Amagu Community in Ikwo Local Government Area of the State.
The House of Representatives member stated this during the 7th Ofala Festival and 30th Coronation anniversary of HRH Eze Sir D.I.Aloh, Erimogwudu III of Amagu kingdom.
According to him, peace remains fundamental to the Prosperity of the State.
In a statement issued by Nkoka Mmaduabuchi Stephen, Media Aide to the member representing Ikwo / Ezza South Federal Constituency, Ogah used the opportunity to encourage the recipients of the Chieftaincy titles to continue working for humanity.
“On his arrival to the venue of the all important event, the wind that blows away hatred, poverty, unemployment, youths restiveness , acrimony and bitterness, his eminent Hon.Comr.Chinedu Ogah OON.JP swung into action in his unique show of love and humility as he went round the venue exchanging pleasantries with other dignitaries in conformity of the undiluted hospitality of Amagu Erimogwudu kingdom.
“While addressing the mammoth crowd, Hon. Ogah Chronicled the origin of the Erimogwudu dynasty, saying that erimogwudu was derived from their ancestors whose name was Erim while the wife was ogwudu; combining the two gave birth to the first Erimogwudu, followed by late Igwe N.N Ogah the Erimogwudu II before the coming on Throne of HRH Eze Sir Dominic Ibor Aloh the Erimogwudu III of Amagu kingdom in the year 1991.
“The man of the people whose principle amongst others are what worth doing; worth doing well, however used the opportunity to encourage the recipients to use the honour bestowed on them to continue working for humanity, as he reminded them that the rewards for good works starts here on Earth till heaven and as such everyone should always have the interest of the poor masses at heart for a better tomorrow.
“Highlight of the occasion was the official pronouncement and awards of the chieftaincy Titles on those selected notable sons and daughters of Amagu kingdom, Ikwo LGA and Ebonyi State in general who has distinguished themselves in various areas of human endeavors in providing a lifting ladder to the downtrodden, while there were notable cultural groups that was on ground to give out befitting entertainment to the targeted audience.
