EDO-Edo State Government said it has commenced the training of both Civil and Public servants on Salary Grade Levels 14 and above in the State.
The initiative is based on the implementation of the Making Edo Great Again (MEGA) manifesto, which is the blueprint that will drive development in Governor Godwin Obaseki’s second term.
Addressing participants at the flag-off of the training at the John Odigie-Oyegun Civil Service Academy, the Governor added: ‘I wish to reiterate my administration’s commitment to building a highly professional pool of civil servants, with zero tolerance for corruption.
‘Also, I want to emphasize the need to create a workforce for the future, driven by technology, as existing rules must be modernized and traditional barriers broken, so that our achievements in the next four years would surpass those of my first term.’
In his remark, the State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa urged the participants to support Governor Obaseki’s policies to build Edo and ensure it attains a greater height.
